In the top video he describes the midwoofer as having a "cast steel frame." In the bottom video he describes the midwoofer as having a "diecast aluminum basket." I suspect both are made from the same metal, whether it's aluminum or steel. Also, I cringe a little when he removes the woofers...

You seem to be repeating the same claims he makes on his website and in his videos and interviews, and like him, you're not providing evidence for the claims. Is the mass really lower when you add up the the mass from six tweeters? Does the alleged lower mass really improve impulse response...

I think we're gonna ask for more evidence than that in order to agree that bi-wiring makes an audible improvement.

Keep in mind the Revel uses a 1" dome tweeter while the Buchardt uses a 0.75" dome tweeter, so it's more than just the waveguides that are different.

Objectively, they're both really good speakers. So whichever one you prefer is perfectly fine. There is no wrong answer.

How are you switching back and forth between the two pairs? And are you doing any level matching to account for the HDI-1600s being about 3-4dB louder?

Oh, you have it pulled already? And the back doesn't show any traces? Can you share a pic of the back side? If you have a multimeter, you could trace it out by looking at where each component connects to the next one.
