I still tend to wonder how far beyond collecting the licensing fees Dolby and the rest care about individual manufacturers AVR are implementing the coding? We have seen how far off the grid things can drift when no one pays attention, can we find a way to measure these things and keep an eye...

I'm not going to take this thread all political but just personally, I do take into consideration China's position on human rights for their citizens and avoid purchases from that nations products when I can. YMMV

I was surprised that the magnet structure was simply glued together but what do I know? Nothing for sure. The woofer cone material with the rough ridged surface is something I don't remember seeing before either? I'm not saying its good or bad, again I have no knowledge here.

Ain't it sweet! IMHO we can thank Amir, Archimago, Audioholics, Erins Corner, and a number of other objective reviewers. It's they who have brought the industry back out of the stone ages of pure subjective reviews that have been the leaders for the dark side of audio for the last 3 or 4...

I don't think so, that is a gigantic horn, the mouth is at least 7' tall and it's a good twice that wide, I could only guess at the deepness of the throat. I don't understand the language but he didn't state the -3db point or if he's using EQ of any type but as an off the cuff guess I believe...

Lowest distortion, efficiency, etc. But extremely few have the room for a true horn subwoofer.

Agreed, but for my money I buy them direct from Monoprice. The juggernaut Amazon doesn't need a cut of my cash. ;)

Thanks for the offer, much appreciated but to be honest I would have very little interest. My passion has for many years been focused on multich reproduction which would mostly exclude this type of speaker and their radiation pattern designs.

He didn't state any SPL but did mention wanting to running tones in the 10 to 30Hz range to 'feel' the bass I don't image you can begin to "feel" the bass at 10hz at quiet levels.
