Is it a class D amp or not?The Sound & Recording measurements graphs are now freely online available, as expected no surprises:

Really great set of measurements at the highest level, if I would be forced to nitpick I would only mention the kink of the sound power at 600 Hz which is though almost impossible to avoid at that size.
You spend so much time here on these monitors, haven't looked at the manufacturer website yet?Is it a class D amp or not?
I'm genuinely curious what they did here. It sounds like it's related to BASH or Class H performance. You spend so much time on the here about these monitors, haven't looked at the manufacturer website yet?
ENERGY EFFICIENT
Neumann engineers took great care to develop a patent pending amplifier technology which combines superior audio performance with the energy efficiency of Class D. Although the KH 150’s amplifiers deliver up to 145 W to the 6.5” woofer and 100 W to the 1” tweeter, they only consume 17 W at idle. Auto-standby reduces power consumption to 0.3 W when the KH 150 has not been used for a while, but can be deactivated.

I actually read that part and still didn't understand if it's class D or notYou spend so much time here on these monitors, haven't looked at the manufacturer website yet?

17 Watts idle is not that great.. Each of my 3 JBL LSR308, idling consume 3.8 watts. measured. Each of the 2 LSR305, 3.2 watts. Those 5 speakers at idle consume about the same as just One, single KH150.. If you use 3x KH-150 in a LCR configuration, you're pulling , at idle , a not so-green, 51 watts... Neumann missed an opportunity there ...
Peace.
It clearly writes it is a new implementation which is patent pending and not typical class D "combines superior audio performance with the energy efficiency of Class D". The question is what exactly do you want to know with that question, for example worries for hiss, power consumption or reliability?I actually read that part and still didn't understand if it's class D or not
Probably a language barrier
Reliability mostlyIt clearly writes it is a new implementation which is patent pending and not typical class D "combines superior audio performance with the energy efficiency of Class D". The question is what exactly do you want to know with that question, for example worries for hiss, power consumption or reliability?
You should learn not to judge by categories like "Class D" as in the end the quality of the implementation engineering counts. By the way your favorited Genelecs also use Class D, no worries there?Reliability mostly
It's mainly why I avoided the Focal Solo6
I wishYou got the last pair?
I bet $10 @Pearljam5000 won't have bought his speakers in a year.Oh no, please don’t tell us you had just pulled the trigger!
I'm undecidedI bet $10 @Pearljam5000 won't have bought his speakers in a year.
Part of audiophile life is risk and loss. With enough learning there is less of that.I'm undecided
It's hard to commit especially when your funds are limited
It will be the same for meI'm undecided
