The entire Topping 90 lineup should have 12v trigger in my opinion. It doesn't make sense for only A90 Discrete and LA90 to have it.

Interesting I checked the specs and both the “power plant” and the bk precision 9801 quote a spec of < 0.5% THD. PS Audio just performed to the spec while the 9801 far outperformed it in this testing.

That would have to depend on the dacs. The best $100 dac may even be better than some $1000 dollar ones, and I would think some people could tell the difference.

Will this play back native DSD in preamp mode, or is it necessary to place into a “DAC only mode” and use a separate preamp?
