First KEF XIO soundbar with Velocity Control Technology & Intelligent Placement Technology

If the implementation on the subwoofer means that you can squeeze further extension and db´s on a given size of woofers, I am happy to get extra extension and loudness, even if I will not notice the distortion improvement due to how low the frequency is.

    Tough choice : desktop speakers

@Baguette, LSX II installed and working. Since I haven´t measured the response in room, I´ll stay with use elements and a couple subjective takes. -They work perfectly fine in the streaming section. If possible, keep then connected to the internet with an RJ45 cable. Once added on Google Home...

Your sources, even unconfirmed, are far better than mine.

    KEF XIO Technology Summary

LS50 actives (Wireless II to be precise) dig quite deep in the low frequency section for a speaker their size. That is quite evident if you compare the passives to the actives. I wonder if the implementation of VECO would allow to scratch some further down hz´s. The LS60´s reach a lot deeper...

    Soundbar review

Would I get it? I have other options, so not for me. Am i glad that KEF has released it? Absolutely! They have also tried a couple extra techs on it that will probably get to the rest of their speaker line up at some point. I hope at some point we can build a whole KEF active system. Mr...

I´d rather get a pair of LS actives and a subwoofer.

Proper Metal music (no pony tails or choral crap)

I could finally listen to the whole new Cryptopsy album. No, they are not as good as the days when Lord Worm sung with them, and no, it does not surpass None So Vile. But compared to their previous "core" records, this has improved a lot.

    Tough choice : desktop speakers

I have a couple Orthodox mass records, that could do the trick. The room is almost fully covered by books from floor to wall, so it should be a fairly nice place to listen to anything.

    KEF XIO Technology Summary

It´s always a pleasure to listen to (and read) Dr. Oclee Brown, specially here. I can see this applied to subwoofers, and getting bigger subwoofers is never bad news. :D

I have a pair of LSX II´s on their way to home. I´ll let you know how they work. ;)

Marantz AV20 13.4 Channel AVP Discussion

You don´t loose anything notifying Nvidia about the issue. They might add a fix on their updates.

    Solar panels

Aerogel and airtight seal plus a wall of fibrous plaster. Expensive, yes, but impressive. Voodooless commented on vacuum pannels, those are an incredible option too, equally expensive. With room to spare on the walls, rock wool or fiberglass would do the trick.

    Solar panels

Passivhaus standard for building gets you absolutely insane results for insulation and energy use. It may be expensive, but considering the climbing price of energy, better now than in the future. Plus, with the thermal insulation, you typically get noise reduction. Some of the best sound...

Marantz AV20 13.4 Channel AVP Discussion

As someone who has his PC plugged to an older Marantz AVR, and plays videogames in it, I´ll gladly add that Freesync on the AV20 is a quite notable feature.

Does electricity coming from nuclear reactors add extra distortion to music? Chances are my Godflesh records will get better! Does hydroelectric power get the sound flowing better? Try some Jean Michel Jarre! This article is based on "I heard this". Sorry, that can be easily countered by "I...
