    Apollon NCx500ST Stereo Amplifier Review

Indeed. OK, countries with lots of wind, hydroelectric power or sun aren't doing too badly, but the ones who wound down their nuclear plants can only blame themselves.

What is the point of upsampling?

Ah, yes. BiS has some really excellent recordings. Oh I miss the contributions from @j_j .

What is the point of upsampling?

My mistake, I should have written "a noise floor well above 16-bit quantization noise levels."

What is the point of upsampling?

I would love to see examples of commercial recordings where that is the case - pretty much all the ones I have looked at have had a noise floor well above quantization noise levels.

    Hypex Nilai500DIY Amplifier Review

Ah, so just 6 dB more gain - sure, if more gain is what you want, and you already use the highest gain setting, otherwise just increase gain in the Nilai. Really not related to XLR vs RCA (can we please talk about balanced vs unbalanced rather than the connector types) but to the implementation...

Louder tends to sound more "expansive". What benefit do you think you will achieve with XLR?

    NAD M23 Stereo Amplifier Review

Yes, bridged mode gives more power, indeed.

And does that result in an audibly better result? The link you provided doesn't provide any way to compare/verify.

    Better in what way?

    Hypex Nilai500DIY Amplifier Review

Indeed. I was trying to point out the importance of exact gain matching when comparing systems.

    Hypex Nilai500DIY Amplifier Review

Remember that the "about the same" might still be enough of a difference to make the louder one be perceived as "better" or "clearer".

    WiiM Amp Streaming Amplifier Review

Of course the frequency spectrum of a lot of modern popular music looks very much like that of clipping. :)

    WiiM Amp Streaming Amplifier Review

Can I rephrase that as "every amp that can put too much current/power into the speaker, for example by producing much more than the rated power, can destroy a tweeter". What destroys a tweeter is not clippin per se, but excessive power/current through the voice coil. Recommended reading...

    Hypex Nilai500DIY Amplifier Review

Not really. The reviews don't magically improve just because you can't test either one in your system. Exactly. The key word is "subjective" - we all have our own preferences, taste, perceptions and beliefs. Why would the preferences, taste, perceptions and beliefs of some other person be of...

    Hypex Nilai500DIY Amplifier Review

I suggest you ignore subjective reviews. They are pretty pointless, especially if they use meaningless descriptions like "musical" (what is your definition of "music" anyway?) and "seamless"...

Topping PA5 II Stereo Amplifier Review

And at that point the slope (derivative of the sine function) is A*ω , so actually you need to multiply by 2π.

    Hypex Nilai500DIY Amplifier Review

Sure, but unbalanced to balanced (RCA to XLR) is not much worse. Other way around is a different story. Of course it doesn't matter if you don't have audible noise or ground loops.

    Hypex Nilai500DIY Amplifier Review

XLR ro RCA (balanced to unbalanced) or the other way around?

Topping PA5 II Stereo Amplifier Review

    600 000 V/s = 0.6 V/μs. But that is assuming 20 kHz, the topping goes higher.

Topping PA5 II Stereo Amplifier Review

Why? The upper frequency limit and the full power output voltage swing already tell you the slew rate (but those two parameters are much more relevant).
