What makes the sensation of "sound stage"?

Soundstage = main signal + its room echo interference/interaction summation impinging on a point in the room space. A manipulatable and non-verifiable(from the recorded information) effect - that some find likeable.

dbx DriveRack VENU360 Review (audio processor)

It seems that buying test gear is not enough. One has to have an understanding of the test gear, the gear to be tested and its applications, and appropriate test protocols with validating checks. Who would have thought? Test lab 101.

What makes the sensation of "sound stage"?

I am not fussed with stereo soundstage. It's an effect, unrelated to the unknown spatial arrangements in a studio, being produced in random rooms with random loudspeakers. So, it can't be right?

Should I be here, I don't think I'm an audiophile

I have always believed that an audiophile is a person who is enthusiastic about high fidelity sound(music) reproduction. Audiophools make a mockery of this with their overreaching attitudes, opinions and indulgences.

Bell curve stuff, although on audio forums the bell curve tends to be biased towards either extreme.

Why do records sound so much better than digital?

Who can tell if the masters are the same? How many members go to the trouble of objectively comparing LP to CD? I think you may have got an answer in the response to your thread.
