I have trust issues when it comes to Windows. I dont want it to have acess to another OS’s hard drive. So it’s the only OS drive in the system when I use it.
Doz is usually too stupid to read a EXT3/4 drive without outside software installed first. LOL

But it’s happy to host malware that will wipe partitopn tables, format the drive, etc.
Been runnig multi boot systems since 1998 without any above issues. But you got to surf your porn sites from the Linux install so the Doz install doesn't get infected. ;)

Been doing IT since the early 90's. First job was a UNIX system admin on an AT&T Starserver running SVR4. Later I was only maintaining Windows domains. I have never really had an issue with viruses/malware....but, I do admit it is rampant among regular users because most are lazy and click "yes" to anything. I run Win 10 at home with only Windows Defender and a few Chrome Extensions and haven't had an issue in years. I have two dedicated servers running Debian for assorted crap. Just checked one of them and it has been up for 378 days. Windows 10 would never run that long.......

Windows 10 probably wouldn't, but Windows Server surely would. I had bunch of them hosting Oracle and SQL Server databases and had them running for more than 2 years in a row.

I moved to consulting in the insurance industry and specialize in Vertafore agency management products. Last Windows Server I maintained was 2003. It was very reliable.

I started my engineering career before IBM ever made a PC. I've seen too many of Microsoft's brain-dead security decisions for me to be comfortable trusting Windows. Microsoft thought it made sense to have an email client that would automatically execute Javascript emailed by strangers and to automatically run executable files on CDs upon insertion. They thought it made sense to have application installations write to system directories and to have a "registry" where any application could read and change any other application's registry settings. I know, it's so much better now. They fixed those things. Sorry, but I'm going to continue to exercise an abundance of caution.

I do have a Windows Server system for SMTP/POP3, FTP, and HTTP servers. It's been very reliable. It's headless, is never used for web surfing, email, or any other "desktop" functionality. The applications installed are the bare minimum needed to operate and administer it. I've tried to strip out every service and protocol that isn't actively in use. It's behind a pfSense firewall that is very tightly locked down (even down to blocking entire countries by geoIP lookup).

I too go back that far. :) But also remember in Unix all you had to do is run the sendmail program and type "wizard" and it would give you super user privileges! Even the vi text editor had such a backdoor. No one took security seriously in those days.

My uptime record for Windows 7 is 430 days. That's on my do it all system for gaming, web browsing, media playback, and a VM or two in the background.

Burner phones? Now that's a tricky one to grasp.. Am I too old or is it the language barrier? :D

As you claim there was no porn viewing involved I don't think your score really counts. :D

I'm old enough to remember when "safe sex" meant moving the headboard away from the wall to keep the neighbors from complaining.
Oh, top tip.., stick the pillow between the two surfaces and everyone’s a winner :D

Doesn't work for "rodeo sex," where, part way through the act, you tell your wife/girlfriend that she reminds you of a woman at work -- and then you see how long you can hold on and stay in the saddle.
