i bought Astral Weeks, will give it a spin when it arrives. thanks bob
Listening to this on Tidal. What a delightful album. It is like a play.
Wow. You have been holding out on us Bob! This CD has incredible fidelity. Easily reference level. And excellent music to boot. The bass in the first track is clean yet incredibly powerful. The second track is playing now and it is just as nice as a recording can get.I'm a big fan of hers ↑ ♥ ...I'm sampling her latest one right now → http://www.allmusic.com/album/heart-of-a-dog-mw0002885960
Just because, I am now putting this one inside my dedicated CD player: http://www.allmusic.com/album/life-on-a-string-mw0000005737

Forty-three years ago today, to the delight of future audiophiles and recreational drug users, DSOTM was released.
I confess to having a copy of this ode to cheap hippy existentialism and cheesy sound effects, and just put it on. The puppy was initially interested, but was soon distracted. I always liked how the alarm clocks go off a few minutes into the thing to wake up some of the more hard-core substance-abusers.
But, then, i only have the redbook version, so I prolly just don't get it.
Gregory Porter has a new album out, can't remember the name of it though!
Keith.
