Van Rules, I have all his early stuff.
Now for something a little different, if you haven't heard him try out a little
Omar and the Howlers, Texas Blues/Rock. He used to tour thru my digs in Chicago once every couple years. Great shows and a great time. Check out Tital or whatever to see whats up, he's done tons of work.
Lets see if I got this video right.

I'm a big fan of hers ↑ ♥ ...I'm sampling her latest one right now → http://www.allmusic.com/album/heart-of-a-dog-mw0002885960

Just because, I am now putting this one inside my dedicated CD player: http://www.allmusic.com/album/life-on-a-string-mw0000005737

[HDCD] encoding.
Wow. You have been holding out on us Bob! This CD has incredible fidelity. Easily reference level. And excellent music to boot. The bass in the first track is clean yet incredibly powerful. The second track is playing now and it is just as nice as a recording can get.

Yes Amir, the CD is quality recording, and indeed the bass is excellent...thanks to prof Johnson with the HDCD process.

And thanks to Mr. Scott for mentioning Laurie. And yes, she is a theatrical play artist too with her music. ...Similar to Peter Gabriel.

She has many, and they are all worth getting ahold of.

Check this out if you haven't yet:

Forty-three years ago today, to the delight of future audiophiles and recreational drug users, DSOTM was released.

I confess to having a copy of this ode to cheap hippy existentialism and cheesy sound effects, and just put it on. The puppy was initially interested, but was soon distracted. I always liked how the alarm clocks go off a few minutes into the thing to wake up some of the more hard-core substance-abusers.

But, then, i only have the redbook version, so I prolly just don't get it.

Happy B-Day DSOTM! And thanks again to Roger, David, Richard, and Nick for the creating one of the greatest progressive rock albums of all time.
There were many imitators but none that surpassed the raw power of Pink Floyd. If you never attended one of their live performances you are much the poorer for it.

I never got to see them, but recently found out my sister did. She even saved the ticket stub.
