    E1DA Cosmos ADCiso Review

The device badly needs a full tutorial both in text and video. It attracts people who aren't experts in measurements and electronics yet it is more complicated/complex to use than Audio Precision. Such tutorial needs to cover all the corner cases and issues involved in it. Above is (one of...

    E1DA Cosmos ADCiso Review

Yes to first question. Unknown for the second. AP does have a way to disable the auto-scalar but that is to speed up measurements, not to bypass it.

    E1DA Cosmos ADCiso Review

I went up to 4.2 volts and it made no difference. Anything higher and it would no longer be "nominal 4 volts" and would make the comparison to other products unfair.

Oops. I had measured it but forgot to put it in the review. it is there now: The dashed lines are with 4.5 volt range.

    E1DA Cosmos ADCiso Review

I measured it by just plugging it in. The thing came with no documentation. :( And my googling didn't get me anywhere either.

Most likely you can. You may lose some of the gain of the mic pre if its output impedance is high.

    E1DA Cosmos ADCiso Review

Not your fault. :) It can be used as an ADC. You just have to be mindful of the fact that it puts a heavier load on the source device than a standard audio interface. For many sources feeding it, this should be OK. But not guaranteed. The low input impedance was a decision made to make...

    Tekton M-Lore Speaker Measurement Update

It is and a point I made to Eric when I quoted that law. However, I would imagine this sets the atmosphere under which such cases are looked at. My review is different than other kind of journalism.

Sennheiser HD 490 Pro Headphone Review

You can't be serious. By that notion I can have an amplifier with 0.0001 milliwatts of power and have any SPL I want to have? Given the same drive level, higher sensitivity will produce higher SPL. Lower the power and SPL will drop.

Common fallacy in these arguments. There is no such thing as "switch from 600 to 32 ohm." A lot of things will change in that transformation.
