80ies without Depeche Mode so far - are you kidding ;-)
Starting 1981 with Speak & Spell.
I loved the 101 album (actually still do). ;-)

I have fond memories of listening to that on my Sanyo C7 (with detachable speakers!)...

Interestingly today's technology would help produce similar produce but more portable and higher fidelity.

Seriously.

Peace.

Well, we are under the "Reference Quality Music" sub category, so forgive me...
Also forgive me for mentioning albums rather than songs.
Perhaps, just roll your eyes and carry on walking on by ;)

Roxy Music: Avalon
2012 Remaster or 1992 Remaster. 1999 Remaster is compressed and limited. West German Polydor suffers from HF loss due is from tape copy. I've never heard a Toshiba 'Black Triangle'.
Bryan Ferry: Boys and Girls
West German Polydor sounds great. 1999 Remaster is compressed and limited.

Tears For Fears: Songs From The Big Chair
West German PDO.

Sade: Diamond Life
UK released CDEPC26044, not the US versions. Not the later remaster.

Pink Floyd: Final Cut

Sting - They Dance Alone (Cueca solo) - 1987

Looks like he had longer hair back in the day!
