I've seen one other, @Victoria, but that's it...
Just curious. A lot of these engineering-oriented spaces tend to be more popular among men.

I don't know. Maybe it's because they like looking at women? I for one use snake demons.I do wonder why males need female gendered avatars. Explanations?
I’ve got an avatar that has meaning to me and makes me smile.I do wonder why males need female gendered avatars. Explanations?
I know that goes against what a lot of people might want to imagine or wish for, but it's reality.
The first software engineering consulting firm I worked at decades was ~50% female, and they were all competent, with many of them being excellent - this whole misogynistic attitude of women not being technically inclined is incorrect. Hell! If NASA hadn't had a staff of female engineers and mathematicians, many of them African American by the way, the US wouldn't have won the space race!
Perhaps stop discouraging them with these myths and attitudes, and they definitely have a negative impact on them, and we'd see more of them...
There's usually oodles of mansplainin' goin' on [guys do it to guys, ya know], usually repellant to the fairer sex.Just curious. A lot of these engineering-oriented spaces tend to be more popular among men.
