On the contrary, VW is actively investing in Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers and seeking partnerships to adopt Chinese-made electric vehicle platforms to produce cars.
The ID series of electric cars by Volkswagen Group has been selling poorly, and it has had to slash prices to boost sales. The same situation has occurred with BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
Mercedes' high-end electric car is even being sold at half price, with a discount of $60,000 to $70,000.
All of this shows the strong competitiveness of Chinese electric cars.
