It's only 6 thousand dollars.

"It should be considered an Necessary, not an Accessory".
"once you heard the difference it can make, you won't likely choose to listen to another LP without using it"
"those [list of audio issues] are Vastly diminished"

He plays a record before and after using it. Can you hear the difference?

It's really hard to try in videos like these that haven't been properly edited. Ideally he would splice both of the versions together with perfect seamless transitions between each other. With how it is now you have to manually click on the timebar between each of them.

I have to assume the normal eccentricity of vinyl we all know and love (?) is not considered a feature anymore.

Best? and cheapest idea something as: DR. FEICKERT DERENEVILLE MAGIC MAT - €155
[Spanish] https://soundsevilla.com/producto/dr-feickert-dereneville-magic-mat/

It works well. Better with Dr. Feickert INERTIA platter - 900 €

and..

A CD version would be useless, because very few people can hear 44.1kHz.  :D :D

I bet real audiophiles can. Why else do they demand ultrasonic tweeters?

/I rest my case

It appears that there is an actual objective change in the audio. Look for the electrical noise at ~16KHz.

The benefit appears to be more precise playback speed.

My best advice is to just to go on Qobuz to stream whatever you want and spin a vinyl LP without dropping the needle. ;)

Animated comparison.

The slope is probably a slightly different playback speed, but I think the waves are the detectable wobble.

If it was a bit-perfect match, the clock drift would be locked to a straight horizontal line at '0'.
