Dali hybrid tweeter (dome + ribbon)

Interesting piece of 'frankenstein' tech. They say its designed to have wide directivity of the ribbon with the power handling of the dome. Looks ugly enough not to be a marketing decision?

I'm a bit sceptical about it being more than a marketing gimmick. Mainly because their bookshelf speakers, even the high-end ones, don't use a double tweeter arrangement. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.

Are they both reproducing the same FR bandwidth or is there a crossover between the dome and the ribbon ?

In either case it is technically a very questionable driver arrangement (vertical directivity), and, like ttimer, I strongly suspect it is a marketing gimmick more than anything else anyway.
