Love a bit of Jill Scott, it was her 2004 album Beautifully Human that turned me onto her, Gilles Peterson (uk funk/soul/rare grooves DJ) played Golden on his radio show and I was instantly transfixed.

Nice one...Indeed. As a youngster I definitely wrote Gilles Peterson off as boring jazz. Wrong.
Jill Scott/Mos Def makes for a v good combo for sure.

Is anyone listening to the new Hard Techno that has taken over Europe? There are plenty here from Western Europe, unless that particular type of music is a little too much for the ASR crowd...?

What you describe is pretty vague...
Might be best to post a link to a YouTube clip. Hard techno has been about for more than thirty years now. Also, nothing is too much for peeps here.
There's bound to be some folks who have similar taste to you... Definitely won't be everyone, but it's a broad church musicaly here at ASR. Welcome!

It probably has I just saw it evolve from Parfet Boiler Room Paris: Possesion (Approx 145 BPM) to Boiler Room Bonuz Festival Budapest(150BPM) to below already 160 BPM. To be honest I am a 90's early 00's classic house and old school corny hard house(minus 145 BPM) type guy and waited 20 years to hear something I liked and it has finally come.
