Just brought a Fiio K11, and I’m having issues getting 96khz audio out of Apple Music running on Apple devices. Hi-res set to on for all the devices I’m trying, but all showing as 48khz when played through the DAC. I’ve tried-

iMac 2011 running open core Monterey, with optical cable, and also the Fiio supplied USB A to USB C cable

M2 MacBook Air running Sonoma with an Amazon basics USB C cable, and also the Fiio supplied USB A to USB C cable with Apples A to C adaptor.

iPhone 12 with Apple lighting to USB A cable with the A to C adaptor. This combo doesn’t transmit audio at all.

Is it just a cabling issue? Or is there something else going on here?

On macOS, you just have to open the MIDI control panel and change the same rate there.

If you want automatic sample rate switching, then you can use LosslessSwitcher.

On iOS, I can't help you.
