"plasticky" Neumanns?

A common complaint I hear about Neumann monitors is that they're "plasticky" and "2-dimensional". This, across multiple different groups who have never interacted with one another. So, what is it that would cause this? I'm sure this is a measurable phenomenon.

It's partially true
But that's why I like them ,.They're super clean and clear and it takes time get used to it after so many "veiled " and "warm" hifi speakers .
Even the Neumanns are considered "fun" compared to Genelecs
