Would love to hear your thoughts on that comparison as I am seriously considering both, even though price points are significantly different. I did hear ELXs at their factory (with both tweeters) and loved them, but trying to avoid mega fomo.
I'd like to get some feedback from Perlisten owners, I think these things are amazing and I'm considering a change from my B&W 804 D3 Diamonds. Thoughts about what they bring to the table vs B&W 800 series?

Have you tried blending the lows in a little more to have some of the bass range hit your mains? It seems like they are so good at bass some of the lows can and should be shared to give you a better sound? I know the S7T's I would defiantly use some of the bass capabilities and I also have 4 subs but I'm running the 804 D3 B&W's that could be better in the mid/low area.
Or you could keep you S5Ms and use them as unsurpassed surrounds If you buy the S7Ts. Hardly anyone would have that outstanding combination.

I would use them as wide channels or something, they are too good for surrounds, they should be part of the main sound stage somehow I think.
Did you try moving them closer to the wall or adjusting distance slightly between the back and the wall? My B&W just 3 to 6 inches of movement closer to the wall produces good mids and bass, getting too close gives you rumble, getting too far I lose some bass. I think most speakers would respond like this but I keep hearing great things about the bass on the Perlistens.The speakers sit in nulls in the room. They don’t have a smooth bass response from 80hz down. Not many speakers do. Four subwoofers Co located together do have a smooth response
They sound phenomenal. Best speakers I’ve heard and the bass is amazing. I’d be upgrading for the sake of upgrading.
In terms of wide channels you can decide how much you want to use them in your setup. I have been able to bring out a hugely improved sound stage as long as you can control them through independent channels and preprocessing it's up to you how much you want them to blend in.
I don’t see this option on my trinnov. I wouldn’t want to go against directors intent by playing with the sound too much!
If you're rocking a Trinnov you're already getting the best sound you can get so agreed. I thought about a Trinnov, Lyndorf, then ultimately decided on the AVM 90 due to price.
