It might be fun to see what we were beginning with. As I have always had photography as a hobby in parallel with audio, I am able to dig out old negatives that were monitoring my audio history.
This was my probably first setup, dated 1971
The speaker box was built from old valve radio case. The portable battery tape recorder was cool, isn't it?
10 years later, in 1981
The amp was 2 x 20W class AB, built by myself. Above is the Intel 8080 based "microcomputer", with data and address bits inserted by switches and status indicated by LED diodes. My first attempt with microprocessors , but indeed not audio circuit. There is also a tape recorder and record player with Shure MM cartridge. 2-way closed box speakers.
