USound target curve for IEMs

Besides the Harman target curve for IEMs, there exist others, like for example the USound1V1 target curve (https://www.usound.com/how-headphones-should-sound/). It is used by oratory as well. I would like to know how and when it was devised. Just by the reasoning given in the link provided, i.e. elevating the bass below 300Hz and lowering the mids and treble? Was there any empirical research used as for the Harman curve? it is stated 'Additional research performed by USound and IEM showed that in the presence of background noise (such as distant traffic), listeners tend to prefer more bass and slightly less treble compared to the original Harman Target.' So without backround noise it is not preferable? Is it pure conicidence that the Sony XBA-N3 adheres almost perfectly to it?

The IEM you linked is the 3rd latest version of the Galaxy Buds.
2nd latest is the Buds2
Latest is the Buds2 Pro

...which is like a mix of IE2019 bass/lower mids and 1V1 upper mids/treble:

To my ears USound sounds much better than the Harman IEM targets, as well as much closer in sound to the Harman headphone curve.

I agree. I love Harman for headphones, but USound is my favorite target for IEMs by far. No alternative comes close for me personally.

I'm using Oratory's target with my Crinacle Reds. It seems more like what I want. The Harman tends to bleach out male vocals with that scoop, and the pinnae gain is too high, so I always wind up dialing it back on Harman tuned sets, so Oratory may have something here.
