Quick update - got the Motu Pre8 USB to work with JRiver.
Turned out it didn't need any fancy DAW or driver software - once I removed all that stuff and pointed the W10 'mic inputs' at the Motu, JR WDM started working just fine.
This converts the Oppo's 8ch analog to USB, so now I have a way to stream via Roku (Oppo HDMI in), bluray discs, and can also, with an A/B switch box, use the first two channels for the turntable/phone preamp. (per the OP's original question).
