Probably not something new here, but could be quite interesting for many to try out. I'm sadly losing frequencies fast although I'm not playing anything loudly. I suspect this has to do with too much stress in life.

This is also my favorite tool for a quick test on the PC, which I've known for a while. But I also still have a real analog tone generator that makes a nicer sweep when you tune it. I still hear about up to 9kHz when listening through my near field monitors. My wife hears 10kHz. I don't think that's bad at our age. In any case, it's still enough for seemingly unrestricted enjoyment of, say, a classical concert. In meetings with several people at the same table, I have increasing problems to understand everything. That used to be better, but doesn't happen so often anymore.Due to youtube encoding, this video will not reproduce high freqs

... But I perceive the lower frequencies as much louder.
It probably is. That's why it's difficult for me to rate it. If I turned it up really loud, I could make out higher frequencies by turning the gain on and off and noticing the difference.I believe that's as it should be isn't it?
