I ran mine with 24AWG at some point in the dim past, out of curiosity.
But with a "maximum amps for power transmission" of 0.577 amperes, I didn't want to press my luck on creating a short by melting the insulation. 2AWG has a 94 Ampere rating.
I had 18AWG more recently, like an AntiCable clone. Compared to the 2AWG the 18AWG seemed to have a little measurable rolloff up high, but my impedance dips there. Could have been measurement error, too, being less skilled at that time. I measured that rolloff, but not the relative overall level/loss difference, though it wasn't enough to be memorable since I don't remember it..
