I think it's decoding issues. I personally find tidal to be a bit harsh around 2k. But not necessarily bright. Which indicates some sort of phase issues or some loss. Personal experience.
Also i did similar test with hiby player on mobile a while back, and there is -120db noise underlying. And it's tad bit brighter, more excited. And passed my blind switch test in DAW.
Even playing Qobuz and Tidal side by side, i noticed a difference but didn't investigate further or tried a blind test, as anyway i prefer using Qobuz. I also posted about this here how i cannot select the TUSB driver on Tidal while i can on Qobuz (or Foobar), so there might be something wrong in their player.
