When you start using the EQ/PEQ function of this little beast you will be ecstatic and want a second unit.

My understanding is that similar results can be achieved using software EQ/PEQ in Win PC for any USB DAC. The only advantage of the built-in equalizer function is its independence from the source device. A sort of universal connection for PC, media streamer, smartphone, tablet, game console, etc. that can retain the same DAC EQ settings.
