Are you planning to drive the fronts or just keep it for the rear? I am just curious if you notice any difference with the LCR
I'm going to keep it on the LCR, it sounds great to me. Really nice soundstage.
The best way I can describe my experience is the Denon 4700 amps provided a wider and deeper soundstage to me than the outlaw amp. Especially at lower levels. They really are pretty good for an AVR... The Outlaw almost seemed warm in comparison. It would sound great when you cranked it and watched a movie loud but when you turned it down the outlaw was harder to understand dialogue.
However, the Outlaw would sound better than the Denon amps for two channel music because it was a little less clinical? I'm not sure exactly how to explain that. It had more punch.
Using my system as a TV for much of the day the Denon amps won out over the outlaw for how they run the front stage. Simply put I could understand dialogue better with the Denon over the outlaw. I will admit right now that this could be due to variations in Audyssey measurements and whatnot. I do my best but it's not scientific.
So...Now I have the Emotiva a3 amp in there on the LCR and it is like a mix of the two (denon and outlaw). It has the Sound stage and clinical part of the Denon amps where I can understand everyone very well and it is very wide and deep. If I close my eyes the sound is a good five feet out wide past the right and left speakers....But it also has a better two channel and multichannel music experience than the Denon amps. Less clinical and a bit more warm like the outlaw but not so much so that I can't understand people when watching TV at lower levels.
Would still be great to get some measurements and have Amir take a look at it but I am happy and keeping it regardless
