The BMW Isetta was a scooter that the Bayerische Motorenwerke built from 1955 to 1962. The manufacturer called the vehicle, which falls between a motorcycle and a car, a “motocoupé”. The taxi is an Isetta 300 (13 hp), which was built from 1957. Photographed with a Samsung S7 in 2019 (around here). Unfortunately there is no English Wiki page for the Isetta. Here the german one: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_Isetta

Photo of the backyard this morning after yesterday's April Nor'easter.

About 12 inches (30 cm) of snow. ;)

Yesterday, during the storm, a red-shouldered hawk landed on one of the birdfeeder poles, hopin' for a snack.

For the record, this species doesnt' typically eat birds -- he was most likely hopin' for a squirrel or chipmonk to wander by.

My trusty (and entry level) NikonD5600 DSLR with a cheap Nikkor kit lens (50 - 200 mm zoom) and autofocus. The AF worked better than MF for the totality shots. They're not magnificent, but they're all right.
Seeing it happen in real time was magnificent. The blackness of the moon in front of ol' Sol was nigh-on incomprehensible. Like many folks, I cannot think of a better description than surreal.

Surreal is the same word I used to describe the eclipse in 1999 in Europe. I will never forget it.

Cherry blossom front/wave is now moving south to north, sea level to mountains; it takes about one month to cover all over our Country...

I don't like it. Who wants to stare at Sakuras when you can stare at VU meters? ;)

^ Looks like the speaker drops off sharply at 100hz and that 2khz peak looks painful, and with those three or four big resonances I’d take a pass on those, I doubt eq could make that listenable never mind enjoyable  ^
