Bill Evans Vans Joint.png

If you like big band JAZZ and saxophone in particular the Bill Evans Vans Joint album is amazing!
The album features Bill Evans performing with the WDR German Big Band.
  • Bill Evans - piano
  • Dave Weckl - drums
  • Mark Egan - bass
  • The WDR Big Band Cologne
Over 25 years of Bill Evans compositions were arranged by Michael Abene and are played with enthusiasm by the world-renowned WDR Big Band from Köln, Germany. This Big Band is on high octane! Drummer Dave Weckl and bassist Mark Egan round off the project. Recorded live at the Stadtgarten in Köln (Cologne) 2009.

Sometimes I get on an Emmylou Harris jag. This one is "Alone and Forsaken", with Mark Knopfler:

My personal favorite ... "Racing in The Streets". More poignant than Bruce Springsteen?

And as I said before, I like live performances. This is "Ain't Livin' Long Like This" with Rodney Crowell, at Austin City Limits:

No Emmylou on this one, but lots of music luminaries ... live, naturally :)

"Not Fade Away" on Austin City Limits 40th:
