https://www.thomannmusic.com/cordial_cfm_03_mv_klinke_xlr_kabel.htmThose cables are pretty darn long, 5ft minimum with some 10 feet. I imagine it's going to more difficult locating a short patch cable with this hybrid configuration for Dac/Amp stack.
The A30 Pro has balanced inputs so there's no reason it won't work well.Would it be worth stacking the A30 Pro with the Gustard X16, i know the x16 is balanced but still should compliment each other.
To compare power consumption (from manufacturer specs):https://www.tpdz.net/productinfo/590764.html
topping brag about their a30pro is class A like because it has "ample quiescent current"...
which literally means it's super energy inefficient.
Not good for our climate!
Would need one of those acrylic shelving lol, just the X16 seems to be rated higher compared to D30 pro.The only reason it won't work well is that the chassis is a bit shorter than the X16 and it wont stack so nicely (visually)
I really like when they do these comparisons.
This image was posted on Topping's Facebook page. Did they make a mistake?A50s has 4.4mm balanced output and not 3.5mm.
Yep, looks like itThis image was posted on Topping's Facebook page. Did they make a mistake?
It says output is BAL though on A50s, so it should include 4.4mm the 3.5mm on it makes no sense.I don't think so, their official website says 4.4mm (balanced pentaconn).
https://www.tpdz.net/productinfo/590764.html
3.5 mm they explicitly show using an adapter to 6.3 mm, which is included in the package.
I couldnt find it either, so I guess its between 2k-3k as other Topping ampsWhat is the input impedance on this?
Just a small aesthetic inconsistency between the A30 and D30 Pro name printing that could (potentially) trigger someone OCD.

I agree. Think its a bad habit picked up from Japanese manufacturers.Just a small aesthetic inconsistency between the A30 and D30 Pro name printing that could (potentially) trigger someone OCD.

Besides, I don't know what you think, but IMO they would gain a LOT aesthetically moving the specifications ("High performance headphone amplifier, 32 BIT/384 kHz DSD super ultra DAC") to the back, it would be an even more elegant touch to an already terrific design, maintaining the front I/O clearer and minimalistic without affecting the functionality of the input/gain tags. As it is now it seems a bit congested.
It might seem trivial given the engineering feat, but one of the things that I think makes Topping stand out from other Chinese manufacturers is precisely that they care about design.
